From the East - August 2010
Hello again, another month has passed us by. I hope everyone is having a good summer vacation. Plans are being made for a fund raiser on Oct 30. Worshipful Phil Bloom has offered us a concert in our past masters hall. Dinner will be $10. September 21 will be the past masters and widows' dinner. Dinner is $5, but past masters and widows are free. This dinner is to honor our widows and our past masters. DeMolay is in full swing. Winter Park Chapter is up and running with a temporary charter. I want to send a special thanks to all the brothers you have made this year a wonderful one. Just as a reminder the lodge is dark August 10. Our next meeting will be August 24. Brothers please come to the dinner meeting; I will have a special presentation to several brothers to include RW Chet King and 15 FC will be giving their catechisms. Master mason degree is schedule on September 11 at 11am. RW Bob Cunningham will be making his official visit on September 28th; officers please wear your tux.
Fraternally,
Mark Avery, Worshipful Master

Winter Park Lodge is still the best and most active lodge in Florida! And we are going to raise 15 new Master Masons!

My brothers as July begins I can't believe the year is half over! It has certainly been busy, but has gone by fast and has been very rewarding. Being your Junior Warden has thus far been a great experience and I have learned a lot. Grand Lodge is by far one of the greatest Masonic events I have ever attended, and I would urge all Masons to attend it if they ever have the opportunity. Additionally, St.Johns day was great fun and I would like to thank everybody who helped me setup and clean up, and a big thanks to Harvey Glen Avery and the Eastern Star for preparing breakfast. Finally, I would like to thank the degree team and congratulate the new Fellowcrafts who were initiated on the 29th. Hope all of you have a great summer!
